Beaufort rental booking tips and tricks:

When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Beaufort. Book your Crystal Coast vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book your Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Fisherman's paradise, large covered porch, pet friendly, & close to Beaufort, NC has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
