Vacation rental tips:

When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental home & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Beaufort:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Olde Towne Yacht Club 312, Soundfront Condo in Beaufort, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
