Our top Atlantic Beach rental home tips:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 2nd-Floor Oceanfront Condo w\/Shared Pool, Ocean Views + Free WiFi & Wet Bar has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If not, contact the host before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
