Our top Rental property booking tips:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Well maintained 4 bed\/4 bath house in quiet area has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Have a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
