Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Crystal Coast rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking the right Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. \"Sun-Kissed\" Ocean & sound views. Community Pool! Pet Friendly! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
