Booking the best Crystal Coast rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book your Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Slow M'Ocean: Oceanfront, Elevator, 4BR, 4.5BA, Community Pool has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
