Strategies to get the perfect Pine Knoll Shores vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Crystal Coast attractions.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Seacluded Tree House, Oceanfront House in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
