Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your Crystal Coast rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
