Rental home tips:

When to go & When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Crystal Coast area. To find the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Crystal Coast attractions.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 203 C-Sea Lookout: 4 BR, 3 BA Condominium in Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 10 has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
