Booking the best Crystal Coast rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Family affordable & close enough to all the fun stuff! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
