Crystal Coast rental property booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to your budget:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Narrow your Search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Fun in the sun only steps from your door! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
During your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
