Our top Beaufort rental home booking tips:

Get the most from your budget:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are high season in the Crystal Coast area. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Crystal Coast attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Incredible Views - Magnificent Sunsets\nI Little Piece of Heaven\n has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
