Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking a perfect Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Traigh Point: Oceanview and Soundview, 4BR, 3.5BA has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a particular Crystal Coast destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
