Strategies to get the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

When to book a Crystal Coast rental home & When to go:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Sea Glass- Walking Distance to Front Street and it's Pet Friendly! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your group.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
