Getting the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • To get the best value, consider changing your family's Crystal Coast vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental home in the Crystal Coast area:

  • To start, have your family agree to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Coastal hideaway in downtown Beaufort. Walk to shops and restaurants! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
