Bright, comfortable, and convenient bungalow on a peaceful street just a block away from Taylor Creek in the Beaufort historic district, with off-street parking. A short walk from shopping and great bars/eateries on Front St., or take a walk to the end of the street for swimming and fishing at the public dock! Very convenient to ferries that will take you to the beaches of Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks, or Carrot Island.

Savor the sea breeze on the front porch swing or bask in the sunshine of the cavernous fenced back yard. The home features an airy, open floor plan with reclaimed pine floors, a freshly modernized (2020) bathroom, well-appointed kitchen, roomy dining and living spaces with a wood-burning stove, and a sunny & peaceful office space in the back of the home. Each of the three bedrooms features a queen-sized bed.

About the Area

Located in Beaufort, this vacation home is in the city center and near the beach. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Mount Maker Charters are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Arts and Things Gallery and Morehead Plaza Shopping Center.

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses.   • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective.
