Tips to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for local tours and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Roberson Cottage, Oceanfront House in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
