How to find the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Crystal Coast trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the perfect rental home in the Crystal Coast area:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Ocean Sands 204A, Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
