Tips to get the very best vacation property experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Crystal Coast area. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best vacation home in Atlantic Beach:

  • To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Newly remodeled! Snowbirds welcome! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Crystal Coast beach you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
