Delightfully refreshed 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath half-duplex with ample parking, outdoor shower, and cozy upper and lower level decks (new deck boards replaced 2024!), ideal for that morning cup of coffee or to watch the evening sunsets. Just a fast 4 min. walk to the beach access. Open floor-plan upstairs with completely equipped kitchen for all of your cooking needs. Sliding glass doors off of the living room and bedroom 1 onto the decks. Dining table seats 8-10. Reading nook with wooden rocking chair. Two TVs equipped with Roku for streaming. Books and games for family fun! Electric fireplace to comfortable up on a cooler evening. Top deck has pub table with 4 huge swivel chairs and two additional chairs for relaxation. Coffee pot and Keurig available for guest use.

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Crystal Coast restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.

  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

During your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
