Finding the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try changing your family's Crystal Coast vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
