Atlantic Beach vacation rental tips:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To find the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose yourrental:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. SeaSpray 214, Oceanfront Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Crystal Coast attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
