Rental home booking tips and tricks:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • Summer time is high season in the Crystal Coast area. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Selecting and booking the rightrental:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. A quick walk across the dune to the sparkling Crystal Coast of Atlantic Beach NC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before booking your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a particular Crystal Coast attraction you are enamored with, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. text the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
