Tips to get the perfect Crystal Coast vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the rightrental home:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. A Place at the Beach Unit 167 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If not, call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Have a great stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
