Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing and booking a perfectrental:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Ocean Club A203, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
