2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms / Two Blocks from the Waterfront
Welcome to our Starfish Cottage! Starfish Cottage is freshly refreshed and has two bedrooms and can accommodate five people – One bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed and the Master bedroom has a queen bed and en suite bathroom. There are 2 full baths (showers, no tubs). The front porch has a swing, chairs and a great view of the historic Beaufort Courthouse Square. There is a separate living room, a separate dining room, a full supplied kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, central heat/ac, WIFI, extended cable, phone, cruiser bicycles and helmets, linens, beach towels, beach chairs, body boards, cooler, and a four burner propane grille. Coffee, paper products, and soaps (laundry and dishwasher detergents, and soaps) are included for short stays. The Starfish Cottage includes one parking spot. We are pet friendly, and 1 “well behaved” dog can accompany you with the payment of a $60 non-returnable pet fee. NO SMOKING.

About the Area

Located in Beaufort, this vacation home is in the city center. Beaufort Historic Site and Core Creek Bridge are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Morehead City Yacht Basin and Town Creek Marina. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Mount Maker Charters are also worth visiting.

When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Book your Crystal Coast vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.

  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
