This home is a little jewel with a gorgeous fenced in back yard which you and your furry friends will adore. Ideal for a weekend hideaway, a full vacation, an opportunity to meet with family, to attend a graduation, or to visit your favorite Marine. Cozy Scamozzi is located in a peaceful, suburban tract but close to everything including grocery stores, eateries and retail. Nearby is New Bern, a cozy, riverside town with many stores and the original Pepsi Cola soda fountain. You will be a short drive to The Neuse and Trent Rivers and only 45 mins. from the Atlantic Ocean so there are plenty of opportunities for water sports. Also, there are miles of pretty hiking trails close by. We will consider long term renters and will make every effort to support military families. Come let us host you and your family.

When to visit & When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Crystal Coast attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or applied to your invoice.

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
