Tips to get the very best Crystal Coast vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserve your Crystal Coast rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
