When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

• In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
• Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
• Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or applied to your invoice.
• Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
• Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Advice for a smooth stay:

• Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
• Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
• Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
• At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
• Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
• On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.

If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
