Vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Oceanside Oasis- Oceanfront, Pool, Steps to beach access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
