Here at Island Beach and Racquet Club, spend your days walking on the sand, appreciating a wealth of on-site amenities, and unwinding at golden hour on your screened porch overlooking the ocean.

Island Beach and Racquet Club features exceptional facilities for your use, including oceanfront swimming and wading pools, tennis and pickleball courts, a exercise center, grilling areas, a playground, and a sound access walk to the Intracoastal Waterway for fishing and crabbing. Beyond the resort, you'll be close to Atlantic Beach Town Park (one mile), the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores (three miles), Fort Macon State Park (five miles), and downtown Beaufort (nine miles).

Take the elevator up to the third floor to be greeted by tasteful, understated furnishings, sunlight streaming in through a skylight overhead, and a beautiful view of the ocean out back. Mix yourself a cold drink at the wet bar, prepare a few appetizers in the sleek kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and step out onto the screened porch to relax in the sea breeze.

In the evenings, watch your favorite movies on the living room TV or pull up a seat to the dining room table to log onto the complimentary WiFi. Of the three bedrooms, each has its own TV, including a primary suite with a private balcony and full bathroom.

Fort Macon State Park and Beaufort Historic Site are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Flatwaters Paddling are also worth visiting.

When to go & When to book:

• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
• Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
• Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
• Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for local shops and restaurants.

• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
