Sound of the Sea is a well maintained gated community in Emerald Isle. Short walking distance to grocery store, stores, movies, eateries, Putt-Putt, bicycle units, surfing units, bait stand, and more! Charming sandy beach is never busy. Head east on beach and walk one mile to Bogue Pier, head west and walk 3 miles to the beautiful "Point."

Rents Saturday to Saturday. Second floor condo, 2BR, 1-1/2B. 2Q rooms. Linens, bath towels and beach towels supplied. Entirely equipped kichen, washer/dryer, 2 cable TV's, DVD player, stereo with CD player, wireless hi-speed internet access. Spiral staircase to 2nd floor BR's. 2 decks. Good ocean view. Available year round. No family pets. No smoking.

About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this condo is in the city center and near the beach. Salty Pirate Water Park and Emerald Forest Golf are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. The Sweet Spot and Emerald Isle Adventures are also worth visiting.

  • Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
