Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning, selecting, and booking the best Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. License to Chill - Atlantic Beach, ~NC~ has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
