Our top Crystal Coast rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the best value:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To book the largest rental within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. East Lodge - Group Friendly!! Free Wifi and Cable TV included has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Crystal Coast attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
