Tricks and tips for getting the best Crystal Coast rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Glori East\/Oceanfront
    Ocean views from every room
has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
