If you like to golf you are a stone's throw from the community golf course with a restaurant & open to the public. Appreciate your morning coffee and the handsome view from the 2nd story balcony or from the deck off of the lanai or your personal dock on the water. Why is it named the Wacky Turtle? The 2nd bedroom has an attached sitting room with a daybed/trundle. This is the room that can be used as a 3rd bedroom, separated by toile drapes. This bedroom has a balcony overlooking the canal. It also has a intelligent TV. WiFi is included throughout as well as 2 designated parking spaces convenient to the front entrance. Quaint & artsy downtown New Bern on the water is a short drive. Paddle over to the marina close by with a restaurant & bar. You may rent this townhouse by the nighttime (minimum of 3 nights), by the week, or by the (discounted) month. Our top New Bern vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in New Bern. Reserve your Crystal Coast rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Start by having your family commit to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. LOVELY WATERFRONT TOWNHOUSE WITH DOCK, KAYAK & PADDLE BOARD has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
