Tricks and tips to get the best Crystal Coast rental experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Indian Beach. To find the best rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Crystal Coast attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and choosing a perfect Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Easy Breezy-Oceanfront 1st floor condo in Fun-Filled Summer Winds Resort! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a certain Crystal Coast beach you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
