Tips to get the optimal Crystal Coast vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.

Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
