About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 5 Bedrooms
  • 4 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 2000 square feet

You will appreciate this classic beach home that sits right on the ocean with upstairs and downstairs porches affording amazing vistas and ocean access! It is comfortable and cozy, old school, with no frills, but with all that is needed for a fun stay at the beach in a super location.

There are 2 full baths with showers, a third bath with a claw foot tub, and another half bath.

The downstairs master has private bath and king bed. The upstairs has 4 bedrooms, 2 with king size beds. One of the king rooms also has 3 twins and is usually claimed by our grandchildren. The other 2 bedrooms upstairs have queen size beds. There is a full bath with shower upstairs as well as a half bath.
Additionally, there is an outdoor shower which we all seem to prefer in the summer. All linens are included, towels and sheets, as well as a outfitted kitchen, including mixer, blender, processor, toaster, coffee maker, pots/pans and cooking silverware. There are games, books and puzzles that tend to accumulate over the years. Bikes, beach games/toys, rafts etc camp out in the basement/garage. The washer/dryer are in the basement as well. Most of our time is spent on the porch and front deck, overlooking the ocean. There is most often a magnificent breeze and always a spectacular view. A gas grille can be rolled out of the garage for grilling. A second refrigerator is in the basement which comes in handy for additional drinks, overflow food and a little additional freezer space.
This home has been in our family a very long time and our memories from all the years are rich. It is an old classic, which we appreciate, and very comfortable, inviting you to relax and appreciate your stay at the beach. You can feel the adore when you walk in the door. The location is super, in a very friendly, family aligned neighborhood. Conveniently, groceries, eateries and stores are all within a mile.

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Crystal Coast rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the largest rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • First and foremost, have your family select the best dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Classic beach house right on the ocean. has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
