How to find the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

Get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Barefoot Bungalow at Atlantic Beach! Pet-Friendly! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If not, email the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your group.
  • If there's a specific Crystal Coast attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
