Strategies to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Crystal Coast trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Crystal Coast area:

  • To start, have your group choose date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Near New Bern Waterfront has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
