Getting the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Spacious & sophisticated beach retreat with balcony, games, W\/D, & ocean views has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
