Tips for getting the best Crystal Coast vacation rental experience:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning and choosing the perfectrental home:

  • Start by having your family commit to date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Southwinds F7, Oceanfront Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If there's a specific Crystal Coast destination you crave, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
