Our top Vacation rental tips:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer months are high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your Crystal Coast vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. SeaSpray 337, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving the rental. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation family.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
