About this Property

  • Private vacation home

Welcome to your vacation beach hideaway in the private Spinnaker’s Reach neighborhood! The neighborhood includes a community pool (across from the beach access), as well as community access to Bogue Sound in neighboring Spinnaker’s Landing.

Our home is a third row oceanside duplex with a cavernous reverse floor plan that sleeps 11 in 5 bedrooms. The second-floor master suite includes a king bed, private deck access, and a soaking tub with separate shower in the bathroom. Two additional second floor bedrooms include queen beds and share a hall bath. The third-floor guest room on this level also offers a queen bed and a wardrobe in lieu of a closet. On the first floor, you’ll find a game and bunk room that includes a full-twin bunk.

The roomy third floor is an open floor plan, including the family room, a brightly lit and well-outfitted kitchen that includes a granite countertop and a dishwasher (of course…who wants to wash dishes on vacation?), plus access to the top-level deck.

We provide linen service with your stay, including completely made beds; two bath towels per person, plus hand towels and wash cloths; bathmats for all bathrooms; and two kitchen towels.

Our amenities include Wi-Fi connectivity, a gas grille, dumbwaiter, full-size hot tub, hot/cold outdoor shower, full-size washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, as well Roku or Intelligent TVs in 3 bedrooms. The family room includes a huge Intelligent TV and a DVR player, along with an assortment of games and puzzles for rainy days. We also provide a golf cart for your convenience. Please follow posted rules for golf cart use; golf carts are only for neighborhood use, they aren’t allowed on Coast Guard Road.

We welcome your dogs, up to 2 allowed with a $150 non-returnable fee per pet. Emerald Isle accepts dogs on the beach, though they must be on a leash (owner, too!). You’ll find pickup bags at the beach access so you can clean up after your pet and keep our beach clean.

Please note that this is a non-smoking property.

We’re new to Vacation Rental By Owner in 2022 after transitioning to a new property manager. We’ve owned and rented this property since 2013. If you’re familiar with our home, you’ll notice numerous improvements for this season. Already complete: we refreshed the blue bedroom with a new bedspread, replaced multiple pillows (every bed has shams as well as cased pillows), replaced select curtains (to include room darkening curtains in the yellow bedroom to help you sleep later), and in the kitchen we replaced pots and pans and added baking pans. Coming soon, we’ve scheduled new exterior paint, a new sliding door to the second floor deck, plus a new hot tub cover with a lift; we’re also re-upholstering our “Monkey Chair” and couch cushions, as well as repainting the yellow bedroom (a slightly softer yellow). Some of these scheduled activities might be done already if not for supply chain issues. We’ll post new photos as we progress.

Strategies for getting the best Emerald Isle vacation home experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:

  • Summertime is high season in Emerald Isle. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Crystal Coast vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick your Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Start by having your family decide on the best dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Pet Friendly 3rd Row Duplex in Spinnaker's Reach has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your contract.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
