Vacation rental booking tips:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your Crystal Coast rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Perfect 10- Oceanside Home in Atlantic Beach, NC has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many concerns.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
