How to find the best vacation home experience:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Crystal Coast area. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Crystal Coast restaurants and activities.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Home on Ocean Ridge-Highsmith Cottage has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
