Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the best Crystal Coast rental:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. NEW 4BD 4.5BA Home W\/ Incredible Beaufort Bridge Views, on Town Creek Marina has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is best for your family.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your agreement.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
