  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Beaufort. To get the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
