Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To find the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • House in Atlantic Beach near the beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
